When will I see results and how often then should I workout?

This depends upon your level of commitment and how quickly you want to see results. If you are ready to work out 3-4 times a week and commit to a nutritional diet you will see weight loss right away (within the first 2 weeks). Muscle tone will start to emerge at the end the first six weeks. Our goal will be to loose 1-2 lbs per week - why so little? We want it to stay off! Whenever weight comes off too quickly, the body does not readjust well and your metabolism will possibly slow down. This is completely opposite of our goal to speed up the metabolism by gaining some muscle. As it replaces the fat you will look leaner but be burning more calories even Of course, if you only have time to workout twice a week the results will come along slower. Gradual weight loss will occur within the month and muscle tone appearing in 8-10 weeks. Remember too! Muscle weighs more then fat. The best indicator of your progress is...how those jeans fit!?

How often do you change the training program?
Our personal trainers constantly change your training program to keep your body guessing and to keep you from getting bored. As your body adapts, your program will progress to ensure that you keep making strides toward your goals.

How long should I use a personal trainer?
This is up to you. We have some clients that just want a basic grasp of how to workout and only meet with us a few times, and we have other clients that have been training with me for years, a few times a week. It really depends on what you want to achieve as an individual.

What does a normal personal training session consist of?
Each session starts off with a brief discussion to ensure you are staying on track (diet, training alone, etc.) Every individual's training sessions are different based upon their goals, but most programs consist of a light warm-up and stretching, 40-55 minutes of resistance training, followed by a cooldown and stretching period. Depending on the individual's goals, a cardio regimen may also be followed.

Do you charge extra for diet planning?
Ultimate Fitness never charges extra for diet consulting. Diet is as important as working out, and our trainers will design you a program that gets down to the calorie, if necessary, and update it as your body changes to ensure you keep seeing progress. WE ONLY SUCCEED WHEN YOU SUCCEED.

What does your initial session consist of?
The initial session gives your personal trainer the opportunity to discuss with you goals. It also gives us the chance to explain how we work and what we can offer. The next step is to schedule your initial workout, a 45 min free session During this session we will administer a full workout to give you the opportunity to see if you like the way we train.

How are you different from a trainer at a chain gym like Bally's, Gold's Gym, Spectrum or even an establishment like Curves or Fitness Together?
First and foremost, we are a private studio that is privately owned - huge crowds are not a part of Ultimate Fitness. We have no alliances to huge corporate gyms, and we work for our clients only. Unfortunately, many corporate trainers are paid bonuses and are under a lot of pressure to sell clients supplements and other things they may not need. Also, many corporate gyms don't require trainers to have a top certification. Their job is to keep you coming in, whether you're making progress or not, and their workout routines are designed for the masses. We design each program and nutritional regimen from scratch, based on the individual's needs and current fitness level.
